Early Help
At Hadfield Infant School, the physical, emotional and mental well-being of our children is our highest priority. We work hard to identify and address any concerns early, offering support before issues become more serious.
We are proud to work in partnership with Glossopdale Secondary School and their family support workers to strengthen the support we can offer to our children and families. Together, we aim to ensure that every child and family receives the right help at the right time.
Early Help is our first port of call when we feel that a child or family would benefit from some additional support. This could be around issues such as attendance, routines at home, emotional wellbeing, or managing behaviour. The purpose of Early Help is to work with families to put the right support in place before problems escalate.
If school staff or parents feel that an Early Help referral would be beneficial, this will be discussed with you, and a referral will only be made with your consent. Once submitted, we are informed on a Thursday whether the referral has been accepted. Following this, all relevant agencies will work together with you to complete an Early Help assessment and create a support plan designed to address any areas of concerns or worry.
Our Family Support Workers, in partnership with Glossopdale, may offer :
- One-to-one session with children to support issues such as anxiety or emotional regulation
- Practical advice and parenting support sessions
- Signposting to additional services or agencies
- Coordination or mufti agency support through Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings
We believe that open communication, early intervention, and collaborative working can make a real difference to the lives of our children and their families.
