Year 2
Forest Schools at Hadfield Infant School
In Year 2, our child build on their Forest School experiences from Year 1 and return to the Longendale Trail as confident and curious explorers. Having developed a love for the outdoors, they now become ambassadors for the woods, taking greater responsibility for caring for the environment and deepening their understanding of how to protect our planet.
Through hands-on activities such as habitat conservation, recycling challenges and environmental art, the children learn about sustainability and the small steps we can all take to make a big difference. Each visit provides new opportunities to explore seasonal changes, apply scientific knowledge, and strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Our Year 2 children take great pride in their role as stewards of the natural world – leading by example and inspiring others to appreciate, respect and protect our wonderful environment around us.
