Our children are lucky to visit the beautiful Longendale trail six times throughout the year for the Forest School sessions. This local gem provides the perfect setting for children to explore, discover and learn about the natural world around them. 

Each visit offers a full day of adventures – with mornings spent exploring the woodland and afternoons consolidating learning in the on-site classroom. From pond dipping and habitat creation to natural art and seasonal investigations, every session is thoughtfully planned to link with our curriculum and the changing seasons. 

These experiences not only deepen children's understanding of the world but also natural curiosity, teamwork and a lifelong long of nature as well as their local environment. Our children absolutely love their days in the woods, returning to school brimming with enthusiasm, muddy boots and big smiles!
