School Governors 2023-24
We are very fortunate at Hadfield Infant School because we have consistently had a full complement of hardworking and committed governors. It has been a very special year in which our new Headteacher was appointed and a new School Leadership team was created which has worked so well and moved the school forward in so many effective ways. The whole school community welcomed and were delighted with the judgement from Ofsted confirmed that we were a GOOD SCHOOL in November 2023.Mrs Dodd has led by example and is an inspirational leader whose skills as Headteacher brings out the best in people. Our children have responded warmly and enthusiastically to the different innovations being introduced and developed.
Attendance by governors at their various committees has been excellent and all governors have had links with the various curriculum areas and held individual meetings with subject leaders and then presented reports. They have seen the school in action with regular visits during the school day. It has been a pleasure for some governors to attend the delightful Celebration Assemblies and to participate in both Seasonal and National events or themed days involving the whole school and local community. We praise the wonderful team spirit, time and energy that our school staff members have given throughout the year. The school newsletters and improved social media communications gave all the details and have enhanced home school links and helped to build strong relationships so that parents and carers feel so welcome in our warm and secure school environment.
Governors have sent out their own newsletters at Christmas, Easter and Summer term which have described our roles, training and participation in school life. We have lost the excellent services of our parent governor Mrs Ibbotson at the end of her term and of Mrs Robinson whose service over12 years has been exemplary and we will miss her regular championing of the needs of all our children in our meetings and her sense of humour. We will welcome their replacements in the new term. It is hoped that parents and families are now far more familiar with your governors due to our updated profiles and photographs to be found on the school website. Our first Governors Meeting takes place on Monday September 23rd. We look forward to 2024-25 with great optimism and determination ensuring our children will enjoy another successful school year.
Mrs Dodd attended all governors meetings.
