Hadfield Infant School PTA is a friendly group of parents and staff who organise events that help to raise money for the school. We meet at least once a term at the New Lamp pub in Hadfield.
We always welcome new members, and if you can't make the meetings, volunteers are always welcome at events. Examples of events we organise are school discos, summer and Christmas fairs, plant sales and the Strawberry Cream Tea event.
News
Over the last 12 months (to February 2010) the PTA has raised in excess of £3,00, which was spent providing the following:
- Christmas presents for the children
- Leaves presents for those children coming to the end of Year 2
- Contribution to outdoor area as part of the RBS Supergrounds project
- Music trolley and outdoor equipment
We raised £688 at the Christmas Fair 2009. For more details and a few photos see the news item.
Money raised and spent previously
The summer fair 2009 was a great success, helped by the good weather, and raised a total of £1242.
In recent years we have contributed to the new sound system for the school hall. We have also bought some outdoor toys, and a shed to store them in. We also buy the books that the children receive at Christmas and books for the Year 2 leavers in July.
