End of Key stage 1 figures compared

to national figures for Early Years Foundation Stage

 

  • 75.5% of children attained a good level of development compared with 60% nationally in 2016.
  • 71.2% of the 60 Y1 pupils reached the expected level in the Y1 phonics check compared to 81% nationally in 2016.  By the end of Key Stage 1  (2016),  91.1% of the 67 pupils in the cohort have passed the phonic screening test.

2016 Performance Summery: Progress

 

  • In EYFS, analysis shows that children are making expected progress in all aspects of learning.  Children are making better than expected progress in most aspects of learning.
  • The overall progress made by pupils at the end of key stage 1 compared with their attainment at the end of the EYFS is good for all groups of pupils in all subjects.
  • Lesson observation, book scrutiny and data suggest that progress in year 1 is good.

  • The pupil Premium has successfully narrowed the performance gap for disadvantaged pupils in all year groups and are performing above national average.
