We regard education very much as a partnership between home and school and believe that good communication is the key. We also encourage you to become part of our friendly PTA team.

You can find out about your child's learning through

  • A half-termly newsletter with details about what your child will be learning
  • Your child's reading diary
  • Parents evenings held in the autumn and spring term
  • Annual reports produced in July
  • Pre-arranged informal discussions with your child's class teacher

We pass on information and details of other activities happening in school through a half termly newsletter.

Showing-off work at Friday morning assembly

You join in our school life by;

  • Attending family assembly each Friday morning
  • Coming along to school concerts and sporting activities
  • Accepting our invitation to have a school dinner with your child
  • Being a guest at our Strawberry Cream Teas held in July
  • Being a volunteer helper in school or joining the PTA.

In addition to the above, if you have any concerns or worries about your child we encourage you to come and talk to us. You can either make an appointment to discuss your worries with the class teacher or alternatively to speak with the Head teacher.

As part of this partnership we also provide you with opportunities to support your child‘s learning by;

  • Ensuring punctual and regular attendance in school.
  • Signing a home/school agreement.
  • Reading their reading book with them every day.
  • Helping them to learn their spellings.
  • Helping them to complete other homework which might include maths or items of topic work.
  • Informing us of any reasons for absence.
  • Talking to us about any issues which may be affecting your child's performance or behaviour.

For further information on what we expect of the children, their carers, and the school, please see the home/school agreements.

See the links on the left-hand menu for more information on our school.
