The School’s Ethos and Values

We will do this by providing a welcoming, happy, safe and supportive learning environment in which everyone is equal and all achievements are celebrated.'

Our core values

Our core values underpin everything that we do and say at our school. All the adults and children in our school community have shared ownership of these key values.

Effort

Honesty

Empathy

Good listening

Good manners

Teamwork

Being respectful

Persistence

Inclusive

Being Kind

Tolerance

We are keen for all of our children to be aware of our British Values and have incorporated these through our daily assemblies. Children learn about Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Respect and Tolerance. We also have a school council where children from each year group are nominated to represent their class and feedback the opinions of their peers in order to improve our school.

We are a fully inclusive school and ensure that children are taught that everyone is equal and unique. Differences make us individual. We ensure an awareness of protected characteristics is threaded through our curriculum through visiting old peoples homes in our intergenerational work, learning about artists with disabilities, discovering and exploring different religions and learning about a range of different families.
